The Association was in the process of novating its reactive repair contract from McGill to Saltire Facilities Management Services Ltd. If you have reported a repair recently you will have noticed the tradesmen wearing the Saltire uniform and ID. Unfortunately, the novation is no longer proceeding and with McGill going into administration the Association will be procuring a new reactive repairs contract.
A new contract will not be awarded until early next new year, therefore, the Association will be appointing an interim contractor to deliver a service to our customers until a new contractor is in place.
The Association will be appointing Consilium Contracting Services Ltd, subject to management committee approval, to deliver an interim contract. This will begin at 9 am on Wednesday 31st August 2022 and will include emergency repairs out with office hours. Their contact telephone number for out of hours emergency repairs is available on our website’s ‘report a repair’ page.
All Consilium’s tradesmen will be wearing a uniform with the Consilium logo and carrying appropriate ID badges. Some customers may already have experience of Consilium as they are currently carrying out our cyclical electrical inspection programme.
We expect a smooth transition and do not anticipate there being any disruption to the service being offered to our customers. We will be getting in touch with those customers with new timescales for those works which were not completed by Saltire in time by their departure date.
